Tucked between Green Point Urban Park and the sea, the Met is the most central golf course in Cape Town. The course offers 18 holes with separate tees, complemented by 14 world-class greens set across 9 beautifully maintained fairways. The unforgettable Par 3 18th hole, culminating in a striking finish over water, seals a day worth remembering.
Redesigned by architect Mark Muller and reopened in 2010, the Met pairs a genuinely playable layout with some of the best views in world golf.

A full and varied 18
The Met gives you a full and varied 18 from a compact, walking friendly course through a mix of tee complexes and 14 separate greens. Recently amended to a Par 71 through the addition of a 3rd Par 5, the course rewards strategic play through well placed bunkering and the best putting surfaces in Cape Town.
The course offers 3 tee options with a course rating from the White tees of 70,7 and slope of 119.

More than a century of golf in Cape Town
Founded in 1895 as the Green and Sea Point Golf Club, the Met has been part of the fabric of the city for over 125 years. It survived a war-time closure, a renaming in 1906 and a complete redesign when the Cape Town Stadium was built for the 2010 World Cup.
Today the heritage lives on, from the clubhouse built in 1959 to the cannon on display as you walk down the entrance into the club.
